Story:
Shrek has built a quiet, isolated life in his swamp specifically to keep the rest of the world far away, content with the solitude that suits an ogre most people find frightening on sight. That peace gets shattered when a tyrannical lord exiles an entire population of fairy-tale creatures, dumping them all on Shrek’s land without his consent or any plan leave To get his swamp back, Shrek strikes a deal to rescue a princess locked away in a dragon guarded tower on the lord’s behalf, a task that turns into something far more complicated once a talkative donkey insists on tagging along. Along the way, gruff loner ogre and the princess he is supposed to deliver start forming a connection neither one of them expects, forcing Shrek question what he actually wants now that someone has finally looked past how he appears.
